Susan Hennings

Susan Henning is a friend and classmate of Vanessa Huxtable. She was played by Lisa Riefffel. She made three appearances in Season 6. Her mother's name is Angela. Her father is mentioned, but never named nor seen. Her grandmother on her mother's side is Beatrice Whitman.

Her first appearance was in the Season 6 premiere, Denise: the Saga Continues, where she didn't speak but was part of the crowd of guests at the end.

In her limited appearances, excluding season 6's première, Susan is a bad influence on Vanessa and her friends. In I'm in with the "In Crowd", she comes up with the idea of playing the "Alphabet Game" at the pizza party where she takes bourbon out of her parents' liquor cabinet and leads a game where the girls sit in a circle and take turns calling out names of U.S. cities to a "clap/snap" beat. When it's a player's turn and she fails to name a city, she has to drink a shot glass of bourbon. After a while, almost all the girls at the party are either drunk or sick, but Susan isn't and desperately tries to get all the girls to leave before her parents come home.

Her final appearance is in Off to See the Wretched. She and Vanessa, Janet, and Kara sneak off to Baltimore to see a concert of a punk heavy metal band, but along the way their car, money, and concert tickets get stolen. Instead of acting responsibly once the car is stolen, Susan influences the girls to continue to Baltimore. However, all the parents, including Cliff and Clair Huxtable, eventually find out their ruse and Vanessa is dealt with severely. Nothing is mentioned about Susan or the other girls, but it's assumed they had severe punishments, and were forbidden from seeing each other again.
