Synopsis[edit | edit source]
Theo makes the football team, so Cliff gives him some pointers.
Plot[edit | edit source]
Freshman Theo tries out for the football team and makes it. Cliff is overjoyed, but his pride falters when he discovers his son will never be a star. Theo, however, is just happy being on the team. Meanwhile, Rudy believes that her older brother and sisters don't like her.

Cliff speaks about "The Groverton Game" (1958) with a back field of "Harry Jefferson, Don Council, Toby Wilson, & me." Harry Jefferson and Bill Cosby actually played football together in the US Marine Corps. Don Council and Cosby played football together at Temple University from 1960 to 1962.
